Feynote is provided by Shanghai Shuixing Information Technology Co., Ltd. We respect and protect your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, retain and protect information when you use the Feynote app and website.
Public website example and contact form
Your language preference is saved in this browser for future visits.
Example answers remain in this tab's session storage and are not uploaded. Reset clears them. The contact form only prepares an email locally; it does not send or save a submission on our server. We receive its content only after you send it from your email application. Our website server may still retain necessary access and security logs.
1. Information we collect
Account and identity information
When you choose Apple, Google or email sign-in, we receive the minimum information needed to verify your identity, such as a unique account identifier and an authorized name or email address. Third-party identity tokens are used only for server verification and are not stored on the client as long-term Feynote session credentials.
Learning content and records
To provide learning services, we process goals, text, files, audio, transcripts, answers, feedback, practice results, note revision decisions and delayed verification records that you submit. We do not read learning content, contacts, email or cloud files from your Apple or Google account.
Technical and diagnostic information
To maintain availability and security, we may process device type, app version, network request status, crash information, operation times and security logs. Feynote does not access your microphone, photos or files without your authorization.
2. How we use information
- To create and maintain accounts and synchronize progress. Personal content requires sign-in; public examples do not become personal learning records.
- To generate learning materials, identify gaps in understanding, and arrange practice and delayed verification.
- To update notes with your explicit approval, preserve versions and provide undo capabilities.
- To prevent abuse, investigate faults, improve product quality and meet legal obligations.
3. Boundaries of AI processing
Model output is treated as untrusted structured input and validated before entering product state. AI content will not overwrite your notes without explicit approval. Generated facts, relationships and assessments should retain their sources or assessment evidence.
4. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. To deliver the service, we may engage cloud computing, object storage, identity verification, messaging, transcription and model providers to process necessary information under our instructions. We may disclose necessary information as legally required, to protect users or in a corporate restructuring.
5. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes of this policy. The server stores hashed session credentials, uses encrypted transport and applies least-privilege access. No network service can guarantee absolute security, but we continue to take reasonable technical and organizational measures to reduce risk.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct or export your information, revoke authorization, sign out or request account deletion. For the process and scope, see the Account deletion guide. Security, transaction or compliance records required by law may be retained for the necessary period.
7. Children
Feynote is intended for adults who want to understand and apply knowledge, and is not directed at children under 14. If we discover that we have collected a child's personal information without guardian consent, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
8. Cross-border processing
When identity, cloud or model services are located outside your region, information may be processed across borders. We will apply necessary contractual, security and notification measures under applicable law.
9. Policy updates
Significant changes will be communicated through the app, website notices or your account email. Where required by law, we will obtain consent again before you continue using the service.
